Summer is the perfect time for light and refreshing desserts, and one of my favorites is Mary cobbler. This simple dessert combines the sweetness of ripe fruit with a buttery and crumbly topping, creating a mouthwatering combination that is sure to be a hit at any summer gathering.

To make Mary cobbler, you will need:

Ingredients:
- 6 cups of your favorite fresh or frozen fruit (such as peaches, berries, or cherries)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate smaller bowl, lightly beat the egg and then stir in the melted butter.

4. Pour the egg and butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

5. Spread the fruit evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

6. Crumble the dough mixture over the top of the fruit, covering it completely.

7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.

8. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra delicious treat.

Now, no summer gathering is complete without a refreshing beverage to accompany your dessert. That's where fruit punch comes in. This fruity and colorful drink is perfect for hot summer days and pairs perfectly with Mary cobbler.
